What Is Chinese Drywall?
Chinese drywall refers to defective or tainted drywall imported from China between 2001 and 2007 that emits sulfur gases which usually (not always) omit a noxious odor and corrode copper and other metal surfaces.
The sulfur gas can cause damage to your air conditioner, electrical wiring, copper plumbing, appliances, and electronics.
How Do You Know If You Have Chinese Drywall?
Take a moment and ask yourself the following questions:
- Was the home built or remodeled between 2001 & 2007?
- Is there a strong sulfur, rotten egg, or ammonia smell in the home?
- Is there black or green corrosion on the copper coil on the air conditioning unit?
- Do the residents suffer allergies, nose bleeds, or upper respiratory problems?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, you may be surrounded by defective drywall. Call right away to have one of our experts give you a free evaluation and estimate: (239) 471-7066.
